CulturWB conference in Mostar

Representatives of the Tourist Organization of Kotor from 18 to 22 June have stayed in Mostar where they participated in the conference of the CulturWB project.

It has been going on for more than a year and a day since the implementation of the CULTURWB project under ERASMUS +, "Strengthening Capacities for Changes in Tourism in the Western Balkans: Building Competences for Management in Cultural Tourism". The project is funded by the European Union and from 18-22 June 2018. the University of Džemal Bijedić hosted a meeting of the consortium of the project and conference on cultural tourism on 20.06.2018. presented the results of the project. During the three days of the conference the project was presented in more detail to trainees and participants of lifelong learning courses from the territory of BiH, a lecture on "Trends in Cultural Tourism in the EU" was held and through panel discussions we also discussed the realized lifelong learning program in the field of cultural tourism The Western Balkans as well as all the possibilities of synergy between culture and tourism.

The leading partner in this project is the University of Novi Sad, and the rest of the consortium consists of the University Džemal Bjedić in Mostar, University of Montenegro, University of East Sarajevo, University of Banja Luka, University of Niš, WUS Austria, Heilbronn University, FH Joanneum, University of Applied Sciences Breda , NGO "Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures", Tourism Organization of Kotor, and the Institute for the Protection of the Monuments of Vojvodina.

The expected results of this project are the development of new curricula within the Lifelong Learning Program and the new Master's Degree Program that will serve to build competences for quality management of cultural institutions, cultural heritage, promotion and creation of cultural tourism products as well as development processes within the framework cultural tourism in the Western Balkans.

The project started to be implemented in October 2016 and its overall implementation lasts for 3 years. So far, a number of activities have been implemented which have laid the foundation for the project, and the key goal of the project is to open new master studies at the universities of the Western Balkans.
